College & Young Adult Counseling

You're Supposed to Have It All Figured Out. Says Who?

College and your twenties are supposed to be some of the best years of your life, right? So why does it sometimes feel like everyone else has things figured out while you're just trying to keep up?

Between classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and figuring out what comes next, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. You're trying to build a future, figure out who you are, and somehow keep everything together in the meantime.

Maybe you're struggling with anxiety, ADHD, motivation, or confidence. Maybe you're constantly comparing yourself to others, second-guessing your decisions, or feeling like you're falling behind.

Sound Familiar? You Might Be...

  • Overthinking Everything: Worrying about the future, replaying conversations, or struggling to quiet your mind.

  • Struggling to Keep Up: Procrastinating, losing focus, or feeling overwhelmed by school, work, and responsibilities.

  • Questioning Yourself: Comparing yourself to others, doubting your abilities, or feeling like you're falling behind.

  • Feeling Burned Out: Running on empty, losing motivation, or feeling exhausted from trying to meet everyone's expectations.

  • Navigating Relationships: Figuring out friendships, dating, boundaries, and where you fit in.

  • Unsure What's Next: Feeling pressure to choose the right path while still figuring out who you are and what you want.

And sometimes, the hardest part isn't even what you're going through. It's feeling like you should be able to handle it all on your own.

Here's the thing: You don't have to have your whole life figured out to start feeling better about where you are.

I get it. There's a lot of pressure to know where you're headed, especially when you're still discovering who you are.

I entered college as an undecided major and changed my degree three times. I spent plenty of time questioning my decisions, comparing myself to others, and wondering if I'd ever figure out what I wanted to do. It seemed like everyone else had a plan while I was just figuring things out as I went.

Fast forward to today, and I've somehow started my own therapy practice before turning 30. Honestly, there are still days when I think, How did I end up here? I love what I do, but I never would've imagined this is where I'd land.

And here's the thing: I still don't have everything figured out either. But I've learned that you don't need all the answers to start finding your way.

That's the perspective I bring to therapy. My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and centered around you. I'm not here to hand you a five-year plan or tell you how to live your life. I'm here to listen, help you work through uncertainty, and point you in the right direction as you figure out what works for you.

Whether it's anxiety, school, relationships, or self-doubt, we'll work together to build confidence and make life's challenges feel a little more manageable.
